Rakuten Eagles Rebrand
The Rakuten Eagles are a Japanese baseball team and part of the Pacific League. Based out of Tohoku, the Eagles were formed in 2005 and have seen little to no changes to their uniforms or branding.
Design Brief
Their current logo resembles a clip art image and the aim was to modernize their design while retaining the essence of the Japanese League, as opposed to the much more aggressive appearance of American teams.
About the Design
The design takes aspects of Rakuten’s logo to form an abstracted eagle. The baseball cards and figures mimic the designs that surround their stadium. Overall one of my favorite projects to work on.
